GM Financial Names New C-Suite Execs [January]

GM Financial announced three changes to its executive leadership team. Mike Urrutia was introduced as Chief Experience Officer, Kelly Wyatt was introduced as Chief Digital Officer, and Chitra Herle was introduced as Chief Information Officer. The company also said farewell to former CXO Bob Beatty.

President and CEO Dan Berce Honored With Susan Halsey Leadership Award [April]

The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce honored Dan Berce with its top annual executive leadership award. Named for a trailblazer in the Fort Worth business community, the award recognized Dan for building and growing GM Financial into a global organization with more than $100 billion in assets.

GM Financial Honored With American Inhouse Design Awards [October]

Talented graphic design and production team members in the company’s Marketing department were honored with five awards at the 2023 Graphic Design USA Inhouse Award Showcase. Winning entries included our PRIDE ERG logo, our 2023 DE&I annual report and our Cadillac Financial Brand Guidelines.

Big Dreams, Will Travel Grant Enables Students to Explore Harvard, Yale and More [October]

GM Financial funded a new grant that enabled nine young women from a Fort Worth STEAM school to visit some of the nation’s top colleges and universities. The trip rewarded high-performing students by unlocking a sense of freedom and possibility that may not have otherwise been possible.

As part of our Women’s History Month celebration, the two newest Executive Team members at GM Financial shared their top five career tips and takeaways for women in business.

Air Force Master Sgt. Welcomed as Inaugural Hiring Our Heroes Fellow [April]

Master Sgt. Jamie Johnson joined GM Financial as a project manager in IT after more than 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as part of the Hiring Our Heroes program. Her military experience and analytical background made her an ideal candidate, who later became a full-time team member.

Voices of SLIP Series [August]

In addition to its traditional internship program, GM Financial offers the Sophomore Leadership Internship Program (SLIP), which welcomed its third cohort this summer. Ariel, Chase, Chamari and Logan, who are all sophomores at HBCUs, shared their experiences and takeaways from the program.

KEYS® by GM Financial

Introducing Our Two Cents, a Personal Finances Podcast [April]

Our Two Cents launched on April 19 with episodes shared on Apple and Spotify platforms. GM Financial team members host the podcast, discussing topics from budgeting and credit to financial anxiety, navigating money and relationships, and eventually featuring guest speakers on topics like retirement.

KEYS Forges New Collaboration With CHLI in Washington, D.C. [June]

The company’s financial literacy program made its way to the nation’s capital several times this year, creating new relationships with organizations like the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI). Interns and fellows from CHLI joined a learning session to supplement their financial knowledge with KEYS curriculum about budgeting, building credit and good money habits.

KEYS Cements Its Washington, D.C., Presence With New CHCI Connection [October]

The second of two new relationships forged in Washington, D.C., this year, KEYS had its first engagement with interns and fellows from the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI). Corporate engagements like ours help shape the overall CHCI intern and fellow experience by providing insights into levers of change, power dynamics and potential for influence.
