Coming Together as a Community
By Divya Narayanan / 06/23/2020 / Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We are honored to be able to give back to the community whenever possible, and build a solid foundation of growth for the leaders of tomorrow. Each year, GM Financial hosts events supporting the Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) in Fort Worth, Texas. This institution offers college preparatory curriculum and opportunities for young women and focuses on STEAM education for 6th to 12th graders. Over the years, we’ve supported this institution through financial literacy education training via our KEYS® by GM Financial program, scholarship grants for graduating seniors, sponsorship of a college fair for junior and senior students and serving as the title sponsor for their senior signing day celebration, where graduating seniors announce their college selections.
We believe this is how we can do our part in helping the women leaders of tomorrow reach their full potential, and inspire them to aim higher.
KEYS® by GM financial is a free financial planning resource for people at any stage in their financial journey and covers topics from auto finance to saving for college to contributing to 401k for retirement, and much more.
