Need help with your account? Please read our FAQ

Following our recent and long-planned system upgrade in early January, we continue to experience intermittent system and phone outages that may result in a busy signal. We understand this is an inconvenience for you and we have additional teams working around the clock to bring our servicing systems back to full capacity. Please read our FAQ below if you need assistance.

General Questions

I have a billing question and cannot get through to GM Financial by phone. What should I do?

A fast way to reach us is by logging in to MyAccount to start a chat session with our Customer Experience team. If you do not have an online account, it’s easy to set up. You will need your account number, found on one of your previous billing statements, to register.

My payment has not posted. What’s going on?

We are experiencing some delays as we post payments, including payoffs. We have added additional staff, and when payments are posted, they will be applied to the account effective the date received. The system will correct any interest or late fees that accrued, and we will ensure that no negative credit bureau reporting was caused by these delays.

Why did I receive two bills?

We are currently sending statements to all parties on the contract, even if they live at the same address. Enroll in paperless billing by logging in to MyAccount if you want to stop receiving statements by mail. Even if more than one name is on the account, all parties will need to enroll.

What if I suspect an error on my billing statement?

If you suspect an error on your statement, please log in to MyAccount to chat with a Customer Experience team member or call 1-800-284-2271 during our normal business hours.
