Leasing FAQ

Can I return the vehicle prior to the scheduled termination date?

Yes. Depending on your scheduled termination date, there may be several options available to you. Please contact GM Financial at (800) 369-5212 or the originating dealership for details.

What is considered excess wear and use?

The standards for wear and use are listed in your lease agreement. Any wear to the vehicle that is not excessive is considered normal. Examples of excess wear and tear include, but are not limited to, missing or broken parts, dented or damaged body panels, and cracked or broken glass.

I have driven more than the allowable mileage. Will I be charged?

If you elect to return your leased vehicle and have exceeded the allowed mileage in your lease agreement, you will be charged for the additional miles. These charges are detailed in your lease agreement.

When do I get my security deposit back?

Your security deposit will be returned to you, less any amounts owed under your lease agreement, within 60 days of returning your leased vehicle.

Do you have any other methods for paying my final bill other than mailing a check?

The only acceptable method of payment for your final bill is mailing a personal check or certified funds.

Who do I contact with end of lease questions?

Please contact the originating dealership or GM Financial at (800) 369-5212.
