Meet GM Financial's Elizabeth (Liz) Stivala
Senior Credit Analyst

Ready to tackle every new day as it comes, Elizabeth Stivala – or Liz, as her family,
friends and peers call her – enjoys her job and all the opportunities it opens up for both
her and GM Financial.
"I was thrilled when General Motors purchased AmeriCredit, and I am excited to be a part of
the growth process," says Stivala, who works out of the Alpharetta branch in Georgia.
Stivala's story in the auto industry begins long before the GM acquisition. Born and raised in
New Jersey, she attended Ramapo College in Mahwah, N.J. and pursued a degree in Business. Stivala began
her auto finance career in 1986 at Chrysler Financial. In 1999, she relocated to Memphis, Tenn. and worked
as an F&I Manager for Covington Pike Toyota. She relocated three more times before she finally settled
and joined AmeriCredit in January 2010 where she began working as a Credit Analyst. In her time with the
company, she's been promoted to Senior Credit Analyst II.
"When people ask me what I do for a living, I reply that I am part of a team that analyzes consumer
credit profiles for the purpose of underwriting auto loans," she says.
Stivala says she enjoys her job for a variety of reasons. Besides working with a great team, her favorite
part of the job is meeting and establishing new working relationships with GM Financial's dealer base.
"I know that these relationships will only grow into stronger partnerships as GM Financial continues
to provide a wide spectrum of financing options to dealers. It will also open doors of opportunity for GM
Financial employees," she says. "And right now, I'm focused on strengthening relations with
my GM and non-GM franchise dealers."
It's no surprise that Stivala has built a strong relationship with the Rick Hendrick Chevrolet
dealership, whose partnership she uses as a platform and a model when she does business with other GM dealers.
Working closely to fund deals with Gary Glisson, a Dealer Relationship Manager (DRM) also based at the
Alpharetta branch in Georgia, Stivala says her partnership with Rick Hendrick Chevrolet has been a complete
success and continues to be top-notch.
"Rick Hendrick Chevrolet exemplifies teamwork. The Sales and Finance teams work together for
one common goal, and they have embraced and communicated their partnership with GM Financial,"
she says. "They set objectives with GM Financial each month and strive to meet those goals. Our
partnership with Rick Hendrick Chevrolet remains successful because of our availability, communication
and follow-ups."
Because she's constantly working with DRMs and dealerships, Stivala says she has a few mottos that
keep her grounded: "Failure is not an option" and "Never put off till tomorrow what can
be done today." In a business like this, a positive attitude and mindset go a long way!
Stivala is married with four children, ranging from six years old to 28 years old, and she has two
grandchildren. Away from the office, Stivala enjoys traveling, history and collecting antiques.
